CREATING ANCHORS
- Click to the left of "BurpQuest" at the top of the page. Go
to Insert > Invisible Tags > Named Anchor.
- Type in top for the name for the anchor. All our anchors will be
short three or four letter names in lower case. Press OK.
- Scroll down the page and click to the left of Roles - not the one
in the navigation bar at the top of the page. Go to Insert > Invisible
Tags > Named Anchor.
- Type in role for the name for the anchor. Press OK.
- Scroll down further and click to the left of Task and go to Insert
> Invisible Tags > Named Anchor. Name the anchor task and
press OK.
- Add anchors to the left of Process and Evaluation named
proc and eval.
- Note that the anchors move the text over in design view. However, when
the page is displayed on the internet, the anchors are not visible and the
text is not effected.
- Go to the navigation bar in the second line at the top of this page. Double
click on the word Roles to highlight it. Click in the Link window of the
Properties Tool Palette. Type in #role.
- Next, double click on the word Task in the navigation bar to highlight
it. Click in the Link window of the Properties Tool Palette. Type in #task.
Do the same for Process and Evaluation, except type the
links #proc and #eval.
- Go to the bottom of the page and highlight Top of Page but not
the brackets. In the Link window type #top.
- Highlight [Top of Page] with the brackets. Copy it. Now paste this
after each of the category titles except the first two because they are
already at the top (i.e., Getting Started and Roles).
Click next to Task. Add three spaces by holding down the option key
(PC: Control + Shift keys) while pressing the space bar. Press
Command (PC: Control) + V to paste it. Now
paste this after Process and so on until all the titles have this
anchor.
- Press Command/Control) + S to save.
- Press F12 or the globe icon and a preview option to test your anchors
in a browser. Close the browser when finished.

CREATING PAGE LINKS
- Place your cursor before the word [Roles] at the top of the page.
Type [Introduction] and add three spaces before [Roles].
- Double click on [Introduction]. In the link window type in index.html.
This creates a hyperlink to another page.
- At the very top of the page, place your cursor in front of the anchor
in the top left corner and press the spacebar. Use the arrow key to move
the cursor back one space. Go to Insert > Image and navigate to the burpquest
image folder. Double click on barney.gif.
- While it is still selected, go to the link window and type in index.html.
This links the picture to the index page.
- Go to Process 1.a. Highlight the words online medical encyclopedia.

ADDING SOUND
- Make sure you have a wav file of a burp already in your images folder.
- At the top of the begin.html page, place your cursor after the word BurpQuest.
Add five spaces.
- Insert > Media > Plugin and double click
on the barneyburp.wav in the images folder to insert it.
- When previewing the page in Internet Explorer, the puzzle piece icon should
become a media control panel showing a play button. Press it once and the
sound will play. Press it again and it will pause.
- To see what the full media control panel looks like, make this control
panel wider and narrower by changing the width to 190 and the height to
25 in the Properties palette. This will not be useful for our short burp,
but it may be useful for longer sound or music selections. If the Play button
in the properties palette doesn't correctly preview a media control panel
and the burp, preview the page (press F12 or the globe icon and a
preview option).
- For this page, we only need a short media control panel which just has
a Play button. To do this, go back to Dreamweaver and select the puzzle
piece icon. In the Properties palette, change the width to 42 and the Height
to 25.
- Press Command/Control) + S to save.
- Close the browser when finished.
